Brazil Woman Driver Bursts Into Tears After Biker Smashes Car Window And Snatches New Phone In Seconds

This is the moment a motorbike passenger smashed through a young driver's car window and snatched her phone from the dashboard in seconds.

The daylight robbery happened as she drove along Avenida Presidente Tancredo Neves in Sao Paulo, south-eastern Brazil.

Footage shows the motorbike pulling alongside the car while the phone is mounted on the dashboard in front of her.

Within seconds, the passenger jumps off, smashes the side window and reaches inside to grab the device.

He then climbs back onto the bike before the pair speed away through the traffic.

The stunned driver is seen looking at the shattered window and then beginning to cry as she realises what has happened.

She later said on social media that the phone had only recently been bought.

After the robbery, she reported the crime to police and had the device blocked.

The driver also said she discovered a bank transfer she did not recognise and contacted her financial institution to challenge the transaction.

She said: "They didn't know my password, they didn't have my facial recognition and they definitely didn't have my bank transfer password. I don't know how they managed it."

The victim said she had initially not wanted to publish the footage because watching it left her distressed.

She later decided to share the video online in the hope that wider circulation could help identify those responsible.

She wrote: "I really didn't even want to post it because I can't stand watching the video, it makes my stomach turn, but please help me share it."

There was no confirmation in the available information that the suspects had been identified or arrested.
