This is the moment an eight-year-old dancer smoothly turned a costume blunder into part of her routine after a teammate's skirt fell off on stage.
The mishap happened recently during the 2026 Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Dance Competition in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, southern China.
Footage shows the young dancer performing in a group routine called "Chichi Yaya" when the skirt worn by a girl in the front row suddenly comes off.
Rather than breaking character, the eight-year-old incorporates picking up the fallen costume into her dance movements.
She then puts the skirt on herself and carries on performing, with the recovery appearing almost seamless.
Her mother said: "I was very surprised when I saw my daughter pick up the skirt.
"They won first place and a gold medal in the group dance competition.
"After the competition, I gave her a big hug."
The youngster was also praised by her teachers and strangers who saw the performance.
Her mother said she was delighted by the attention and happily accepted the compliments.
