This is the moment a livestreamer shows the severe burns she suffered when a parcel bomb allegedly left by a rejected fan exploded outside her home as she was preparing to take her daughter to school.

The blast happened in Yongzhou, a city in Hunan Province in south-central China, on 15th October, when Sisi Alora stepped outside her home to collect what appeared to be a parcel.

Video footage shows Sisi with the horrific burns in hospital after the explosion, wrapped in bandages, with her arm in particular badly burned.

Other images show her recording the facial scars she was left with during the recovery process.

During the trial on 8th June, the court heard that Liu Mouqiang is accused of carrying out a months-long campaign of harassment after Sisi rejected his romantic advances.

Sisi, who has more than 80k followers on Douyin - the Chinese version of TikTok, said she had never been in a relationship with Liu and denied reports that he had been her top financial supporter during livestreams.

She said she first met Liu during an outdoor livestream in 2023 when he bought a meal for her and her brother.

According to Sisi, she later rejected his attempts to pursue a relationship, after which Liu began harassing her online and contacting her followers.

In August 2024, she returned CNY 600 (GBP 66) in gifts and expenses she said Liu had spent on her in an attempt to end the dispute, but the harassment allegedly continued.

She reported Liu to police and later filed a civil lawsuit, which ended in mediation in June 2025 when Liu apologised publicly and paid compensation.

Prosecutors allege that between May and October 2025, Liu carried out a series of attacks targeting Sisi, including placing explosive devices, scattering tyre-puncturing spikes and spraying corrosive liquid at her property.

On the morning of 15th October, Sisi noticed a parcel on a shoe rack outside her flat and when she picked it up to check the label and it exploded.

The blast caused burns of varying severity to her face, neck and both arms.

Prosecutors said Sisi's young daughter was standing nearby and escaped serious injury, although some of her hair was singed and her school bag was damaged.

Police arrested Liu on the day of the explosion.

Prosecutors charged Liu with endangering public safety, alleging that his actions put not only Sisi but also neighbours and passers-by at risk.

Sisi said the attack caused lasting physical and psychological harm and left her unable to continue outdoor livestreaming because of facial scarring and skin sensitivity.

She said: "I hope the court delivers a fair judgment and severely punishes him."
