This is the shocking moment a wave of muddy water bursts through the door of a shop and sends a member of staff running.
CCTV footage from 27th August shows the flooding in Sao Jose, in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.
The video shows the water pouring from the burst pipe and gushing into the shop causing the staff to flee.
The water came the full length of the packaging shop and reached the toilet at the rear, which was left flooded.
It brought mud with it, which spread across the floor and had to be cleared with a shovel and bucket.
A 500mm water main had burst on Rua Antonio Jovita Duarte in the Forquilhas district at about 2.40pm on Thursday, 27th August.
The pipe was hit during work by a subcontractor engaged by the Sao Jose infrastructure department, which had been dealing with water seeping into the ground at the site.
The owners said they had lost stock and put the damage at BRL 2,000 (GBP 285).
They said the company responsible for the work had been in touch and that they would be reimbursed.
Water supply was cut to five districts of the town as a result of the burst.
Casan, the state water and sanitation company, said supply had returned to normal by the following morning, with the main itself repaired by 11.30am.
Sao Jose sits within the metropolitan area of Florianopolis, the capital of Santa Catarina, on Brazil's southern coast.
