This is the moment a 104-year-old Brazilian woman went viral after dancing for the camera at her birthday party.
Maria de Lurdes da Silva was filmed celebrating in Paulista, a city in Pernambuco state, in north-eastern Brazil, in April.
Footage shows Maria standing in front of birthday gifts, cards and decorations as music plays during the celebration.
The centenarian smiles at the camera before breaking into a dance and showing off her footwork.
She then moves around in front of the birthday display as friends and relatives watch her enjoying the party.
The clip was posted online by her granddaughter Josy Ramos and quickly attracted huge attention.
Maria was dancing to “O Chêro da Carolina”, a forró song by Brazilian musician Luiz Gonzaga.
Forró is a popular music and dance style from north-eastern Brazil.
The video of Maria’s birthday celebration has reportedly reached more than 42.5 million internet users.
Josy regularly posts clips of her grandmother on social media, including videos of Maria dancing to different styles of music, reacting to football matches and taking part in memory and coordination games.
Maria was born in Frexeiras, a district of Escada, in the northern forest zone of Pernambuco, but now lives in Paulista, part of the Greater Recife metropolitan area.
Her online popularity began in March, when Josy first shared videos of her grandmother.
Several of the clips have since been widely shared, including one showing Maria dancing hip hop that was viewed more than 1.2 million times.
Social media users praised Maria’s energy and also commented on the care shown by her granddaughter.
One viewer said: “She has been a baby, a child, a teenager, an adult and a mature woman, and to reach 100 dancing is a gift. My respect and admiration to the people who care for this diamond.”
Another user asked: “Will I make it to 90 dancing?”
A third said: “I would like to be an old lady like that. Congratulations.”
Another joked: “She will reach 120 still playing around.”
