Worker Survives After Falling Three Floors And Hitting Pavement

This is the shocking moment a worker falls three floors from a workshop and lands on the pavement below before being rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The CCTV footage is from 25th August and shows the fall on Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Boulevard in the Sultangazi district of Istanbul, in Turkey.

The video shows a man walking along the pavement when the worker comes crashing down beside him, startling him before he turns and runs over to help.

Mustafa El Ahmed, 23, was working in a chandelier workshop on the third floor of the business centre at about 11am when the incident occurred.

The Syrian national is reported to have lost his balance and fallen from the building onto the concrete below.

A member of staff at a shop on the ground floor noticed what had happened and raised the alarm.

Ambulance crews and police were sent to the scene, where medics found he had been seriously hurt.

He was taken to the Haseki Training and Research Hospital, where his condition was described as serious.

Officers carried out a detailed examination of the business centre afterwards.

The owner of the workshop, identified only by the initials C.A., was detained along with the other people working there so that statements could be taken.

Sultangazi is a densely built district on the European side of Istanbul with a large number of small manufacturing workshops.
